We woke up early to get outside and explore our neighborhood just after sunrise. Between the days becoming shorter and darker earlier, and only having one day off together a week, we try to take advantage of what little light of the day we have to enjoy. A few days prior we experienced a huge storm, ripping every last red-orange leaf from the trees, creating a crunchy frozen carpet along the sidewalks. There was a thick layer of sparkly ice on everything, and a lighter layer of crystals hung in the air creating a beautiful fog. I live for these bright, crispy cold days.
Happy belated Thanksgiving!
